Los Angeles Concerts Cancelled

I'm sad to report that our friends in America are not having much luck with Argerich this year. After the cancellation of her concert at Carnegie Hall with Seiji Ozawa, the Los Angeles Philharmonic has now announced cancellation of her concerts with Gustavo Dudamel this month. She will be replaced by Jeremy Denk (a wonderful pianist and chamber musician in his own right). According to the orchestra's announcement, the cancellation is due to back problems.

  1. Ugh . . . I paid through the nose to get great seats for this concert.

  2. So did I. I can't express how disappointed I am. And there aren't any other concerts I'm interested in going to at the Phil for the rest of the season. I'll wait until the last minute before buying tickets next time.

  3. I've always wanted to hear her perform LIVE. She is my favorite pianist living! I guess I might have to travel to Europe or South America to hear her.
